Major League Cricket (MLC) is a professional Twenty20 cricket league in the United States. It is operated by American Cricket Enterprises (ACE) and is officially sanctioned by USA Cricket. The league’s inaugural season began on July 13, 2023, featuring six teams representing major U.S. cities under a single-entity model.
The first season of MLC is taking place over three weeks at two venues: Grand Prairie Stadium in Grand Prairie, Texas, and Church Street Park in Morrisville, North Carolina. The season is set to conclude on July 30, 2023.
Before the establishment of MLC, there was a development league known as Minor League Cricket (MiLC), which completed its inaugural season in 2021. MiLC consisted of 27 franchise-based teams competing in cricket matches.
The introduction of Major League Cricket marks a significant step in the growth and development of cricket in the United States, providing a platform for professional players and bringing the sport closer to fans in major American cities.

Chasing a target of 184, Mumbai Indians achieved the win with 24 balls to spare.

In the absence of Kieron Pollard due to an injury, Pooran captained the team and expressed his pride in the collective effort of the players. He said, “Chatting today we spoke about creating history. We lost our captain and a couple of players. At the end of the day, I am proud as everyone contributed. We knew it was a good batting wicket, and we were prepared for this moment from a week ago. We had to be confident and believe in each other. We got over the line today, even after facing pressure earlier this week. ‘You are going to bat like Nicky P’, I told myself, and backed my skill.”
